Brittany & Brian {Taylor Jackson Photography}

What do you get when you take some wonderful ghost chairs, some romantic candlelight and some purple lighting…one mouth dropping, vision viewing, super elite wedding! Today I share with you some of the details from Brittany and Bryan’s super chic wedding at the Fermenting Cellar in Toronto. Being one of my most favorite places to have a Bride and Groom host their wedding, as the clean lines and rustic wear can give you a magical out come for your big day. Brittany & Brian even had a team of artists to pint during the ceremony, such a unique idea!

Captured by none other than Taylor Jackson Photography who I highly recommend to my Brides to capture their day, he was able to capture all of the spectacular details of this wedding. I invite you to dream a little.

Bespoke Insider: The Presse Fine Stationary {Q&A}

When our readers ask…we get answers.  The ever so talented and creative owner of The-Presse Fine Stationary Stephanie Casino, has been in high demand even prior to opening her company this February.  With her attention to detail and imagination she is able to create the prettiest designs in wedding stationary today.  Having a designer that can create a unique vision is exactly what Bespoke Event Design look’s for.  We adore vendors that can create detailed images, patterns and use fine papers to give our couples their very own bespoke feel.  No 2 weddings should be alike and Stephanie will make sure of that.

We had the opportunity to ask some of the questions our Brides’ wanted to know about stationary.  You can see her detailed invites and her costs right on her website, which makes it helpful when calculating your budget.

Name: Stephanie Casino

Company: The Presse Fine Stationery

Service offered: wedding invitations and stationery, custom design

Location: Toronto, ON

When was The Presse Fine Stationary Founded?

In February of this year.

What made you start your own business?

I started The Presse because I’ve always wanted to take my creative skills and use them for something that I absolutely loved doing- designing! After getting engaged in winter of 2007, I came across so many wedding stationery design companies that didn’t have what I was looking for- clean, contemporary design that was ultimately modern. After designing my own wedding invitations, I received lots of positive feedback, and even business inquiries. I left my full time job as a creative director for an online business to pursue this business possibility, and to try my hand at being my own boss.

What is your design background?

I have a Bachelor of Applied Arts Illustration degree from Sheridan College. I also have 2 years of graphic design training from George Brown College under my belt.

What is included in your stationary packages?

At the moment, my wedding stationery sets include a Save The Date card, an Information card and a RSVP card for one affordable price. I also offer binding options and assembly for an additional cost, and custom design is always available for an hourly rate (if the design is from scratch.) The colours of each invitation set are entirely the client’s choice at no extra charge.

What is your turn around time?

It really depends on the client. If there is a lot of altering and custom design involved, it is impossible to tell if we will agree on anything in a set amount of time. If a client simply chose one of my designs and supplied me with colour preferences and copy, the invitation set can be printed within a week!

Can I also order my table numbers, place cards, escort cards, ceremony programs, menus, etc. from you?

Of course! These items will be designed to match your choice of stationery. I am currently working on a section of the website that will speak to these options, so keep an eye out for it!

What else does The-Presse sell?

Currently The Presse offers wedding related stationery. I plan on creating a baby line (announcements, invitations) as well as a general greeting card line in the near future.

Can my invitations be printed on recycled paper and/or with soy-based ink?

Yes your invitations can be printed on recycled paper and/or soy based inks. If you prefer these options, there may be an additional cost to the invitation set due to the varying costs of recycled paper and vegetable inks. I have connections at various printing facilities, and not all of them offer these options.

What different types of paper do you offer your clients?

The prices on my website reflect invitation sets that are printed on 100lb white smooth cardstock, with a high recycle content. Linen textured, cream coloured, FSC certified and thinner/thicker papers are also available, however the prices will change with each of these options due to the varying costs of each type of stock.

What is the most important piece of advice you can offer a Bride when creating her invitations?

An extremely important piece of advice would be to quadruple check the spelling! Nothing is more stressful than spelling your names wrong, or having a typo in your written content, after all of your invitations have been printed. Pass the digital copies around to friends and family for a good proof-reading in order to prevent this!

What is the biggest trend you are seeing for 2011?

I am noticing that brides and grooms these days are gravitating towards simple, clean designs as opposed to the days of heavy prints and lots of cursive writing. I also notice a trend rising in non-traditional text used in wedding invitations these days, such as funny anecdotes and poems.

And my personal favorite…Sign Lanuage of Love
